For individuals with intellectual disabilities, every new skill requires two to three times more time and effort than it might for others. This is not a limitation — it is a reality to be honored.
Inside sheltered workshops, work processes are redesigned around the learner. Tasks like measuring ingredients or assembling orders are broken into steps practiced repeatedly until they become natural.
Job support specialists observe, adjust, coach, and celebrate every increment of progress. They do not hurry. They do not substitute. They accompany.
For the individuals we serve, the routine of arriving, working, and returning home is itself a form of independence — and protecting that routine, day after day, is the heart of what this project does.
