Bridge to Connection: More Than Just Charity Bread

By Children Are Us Foundation | Cheer

"Hello, Careus Bread!" Xiao-Yu's (pseudonym) energetic and resonant call instantly broke the tranquility of the corporate building's lobby, echoing through the hallway and successfully catching the attention of all passing office workers.

At the charity sale, Xiao-Yu is always the brightest and most enthusiastic star. She deeply loves participating in outreach charity sales; whenever she discovers a sale on her schedule, she starts excitedly asking half a month in advance, "Sister, what time will the charity sale run from and to?" That pure anticipation always lets everyone feel Xiao-Yu's innocence and cuteness.

Despite having a hearing impairment, it cannot extinguish Xiao-Yu's eager desire to serve customers. Xiao-Yu's hearing is like a mischievous child; sometimes store staff might call out loudly right beside her, yet she remains focused on her work, completely unaware. Curiously, amidst the bustling and noisy environment of the charity sale, she is always able to keenly catch customers' soft inquiries. She will immediately step forward with a light pace, enthusiastically introducing each type of bread and even recommending her personal favorite, responding to every customer's needs with her unique sensitivity and warmth. To Xiao-Yu, a charity sale is not merely selling a loaf of bread; it is a bridge for her to warmly connect with society. Even though she cannot hear the complete sounds of the world, she still insists on using her loudest voice to convey her purest love for life and work to everyone.
