Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your generous support to our initiative helping battered women. The situation is that violence against women usually happens in the homes by relatives and close to those who are affected. Due to the issue of shame, this is often go unreported and help is not forthcoming. What we are doing is to help those when we receive reports about the situation as well as provide links to legal services. We also aim to increase the income sources of poor women via small livelihood support in villages. Livelihood support is in terms of animal raising, gardening, small stores, buy and sell, among others, depending on the needs and capacities of the beneficiary. This project needs a lot of support and hoping for your generosity. Thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy

Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project providing help to women who are in dire situation. Violence against women is often under reported or not reported at all. The prevalence of family shame is ever present as the culprit is sometimes a member of the family. This reporting period we continue to provide referrals to concerned government agencies for battered women. We also created a support group so that situation of violence is reported to proper authorities in time and not with due delay. We are also providing livelihood support for women and their families focusing on small-scale livelihoods that they can do themselves in a simple and easy manner and not too technical. This consist of gardening, raising of small animals like chicken, food vending and handicrafts. We were able to support 20 women in this manner during this time. Again, thank you for your support.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy

construction of facility
Dear Friend,
Thank you very much for your support to our project providing help to battered women. We always include in our support service the families of the women because there is a direct correlation between poverty to violence in the home. In previous reports we focus our attention to the provision of livelihood support especially in the implementation of small-scale livelihoods on an easy socialized repayment scheme. This reporting period we are providing much needed water and sanitation assistance to families lacking the facilities. We realize that it is not only a family which is affected by poor sanitation but the whole community as well because flies go from place to place and they usually alight in open defecation places. We were able to construct a total of 5 latrines during this period, thanks a lot for your support. We target more latrines to be constructed in the coming months. Again, thank you very much.
Very sincerely yours,
Michelle Frances Uy
