Thanks to your generous support, we provided shopping vouchers to orphaned children living with their families in several displacement camps across the northern Gaza Strip. This initiative was designed to give each child the freedom to personally choose the food and essential items they wished to receive.
Rather than providing families with predetermined supplies, the shopping vouchers allowed each orphan to visit the local market and select what they liked and what their family needed most. Children were able to choose from a variety of items, including rice, meat, chicken, cooking oil, vegetables, sweets, dairy products, and other essential food supplies.
For many of these children, the experience was especially meaningful. After enduring displacement, loss, and severe deprivation, being able to choose something for themselves brought them joy, dignity, and a sense of independence. Their happiness was visible as they selected the foods they enjoyed while also helping provide essential supplies for their families.
Many of the beneficiary children have lost one or both parents and are now living in overcrowded tents or temporary shelters. Their caregivers struggle daily to provide food and other necessities because of unemployment, displacement, and the rising cost and scarcity of basic goods.
Through this project, the shopping vouchers provided more than financial assistance. They gave orphaned children an opportunity to make their own choices, experience a moment of happiness, and feel that their wishes and needs truly matter.
On behalf of all the orphaned children and families reached through this initiative, we extend our heartfelt gratitude for your generosity and compassion. Your support brought relief to struggling families and created precious moments of joy for children facing extremely difficult circumstances.
Together, we are not only providing essential assistance—we are restoring dignity, bringing happiness, and renewing hope in the hearts of orphaned children across northern Gaza.
