The families, orphanages, and rescue centers we are serving make difficult decisons every day about how to allocate limited resources to meet their basic needs of food, clothing, and shelter.
Living in extreme poverty, Jose is working hard to make ends meet. With a young child, expenses add up, and a meager income must be stretched. This means having to choose between food, clothing, diapers, and shelter to provide for his family. He loves his family so much, and is doing the best he can. There is no love like the love a parent has for his child, a love that wants them to have the absolute best chance at a productive life. For Jose, this love has made him question his ability to provide for his child, and contemplate giving the child up with a hope the child will have a better future than the one he can provide.
This is a heart wrenching choice, and by helping provide Jose the basic tools to meet basic needs, you are helping to keep this family together. With Jose receiving the gift of cloth diapers, he can focus on meeting other basic needs. The impact of solving diaper need is so much more than a diaper.
Thank you for helping Jose keep his family together.
