When we think about basic needs, we tend to think about food & water. Diapers are an overlooked need, and unless you have a young child or perhaps a person with special needs in your life, you tend to not think of them.
As we live out our mission to end the choice between food, diapers, and medical care, we think about the long term impact of diapers and how we can help lift people out of poverty. We think about how can we source items local to the communities that need them. Is it possible to have diapers made locally, by the communities we are serving? What does this look like? How can this be done?
These are deep questions, and we are working to find the answers. We firmly believe in a hand up, not a hand out.
Stay tuned as we dig into this more, and continue to help families in need!
