Every small gain is one step closer

By Deborah Johnstone | Project Leader

Once upon a time, nestled on Lake Chapala shores, there stood a remarkable institution known as Escuela de Artes Industriales Have Hammer Will Travel A.C. a woodworking school renowned for its dedication to craftsmanship and artistic expression. The school had been a beacon of inspiration, nurturing the talents of aspiring woodworkers and fostering a deep appreciation for the beauty of wooden creations.

However, as the years passed, the school's facilities began to show signs of wear and tear. The woodworking tools, once gleaming and powerful, were now outdated and inadequate. The classrooms lacked the necessary equipment and space for students to explore their creativity fully. It was clear that Escuela de Artes Industriales needed a transformation to continue its legacy of excellence.

Recognizing the urgent need for revitalization, the school's dedicated staff and passionate alumni came together to launch a capital campaign—a quiet phrase that whispered through the town's streets yet carried the weight of ambition and hope. Their goal was to raise the necessary funds to breathe new life into the woodworking school and create a thriving environment for future generations of artisans.

Under the banner of "Inspiring Creativity, Crafting Excellence: Building the Future of Woodworking Education," the capital campaign is unfolding with quiet determination. The townspeople, awestruck by the beautiful works of art crafted by the students over the years, are beginning to embrace the cause wholeheartedly. They understood the value of preserving this precious institution and the profound impact it had on the community.

The campaign organizers are reaching out to local businesses, philanthropists, and supporters near and far, sharing their vision for the future of Escuela de Artes Industriales. They highlighted the importance of empowering young minds to master the intricate art of woodworking, honing their skills, and fostering their creativity. The quiet phrase soon spread like wildfire, carrying with its stories of wooden masterpieces and dreams waiting to be realized.

Local artisans are contributing their expertise, volunteering their time to improve the school's workshops. The classrooms are expanding, providing students with the best possible learning environment. Please support our capital campaign.
