Update on Your Support for Two Children Orphaned by the Beirut Explosion

By Celine Akkary | Marketing and Communications Manager

Loris Restaurant before the blast

Dear Friends,

The Bazaza family was enjoying an early dinner out on August 4, 2020, at Loris restaurant in Gemmayze when the blast went off.

In a matter of seconds, what was a joyous family gathering on a normal summer evening out turned into a nightmare.

In a matter of seconds, Malak and Ali, her husband, lost their lives.

They left behind two little children, who are still struggling to make sense of the absence of their parents.

Out of respect for the deceased, we won't be sharing images of the family, we will however share a few shots of the restaurant they were at.

We thank you for your kind donations; the funds collected over the past weeks have been donated to Malak's parents, who now must raise, care for, and provide for their two little grandchildren.

Your support has made a big difference for them - particularly during this increasingly challenging financial and economic period in Lebanon.

Thank you so much.

With Gratitude,
