Dear Supporters,
It has been 475 long and painful days since the tragic Beirut explosion, and we're about to terminate this campaign on GlobalGiving.
Thank you all for stepping in immediately to provide much-needed funding to support various NGOs in food distribution, rebuilding efforts, and relief for cancer patients. Several months after the explosion, some funds continued to flow into this campaign, and we chose to donate them directly to two families: one family with two orphaned children, and another family, with three little children, who lost its sole breadwinner.
Now, more than one year later, the funds coming into this campaign have understandably decreased significantly as other urgent needs take priority. As a result, we have decided to deactivate this campaign and to continue to focus on fundraising for our existing programs related to youth entrepreneurship and employment - supporting a number of youth who were directly affected by the explosion as well as the current finanical crisis.
For any of you with monthly contributions, your donations will be immediately transferred to cover the stipends of unemployed, low-income youth in our employment program. However, if you wish to deactivate your contributions, please feel free to do so, bearing in mind that you have our gratitude, always.
Once again, thank you all so much for your support!
Sincerely,
