Eduarda was about to turn 5 when she was diagnosed with a rare type of brain cancer. The devastating news was softened when the parents knew that their daughter would be treated in GRAACC Hospital.
In the end of 2017 year, they had the best Christmas gift of their lives: the girl is cured. The treatment involved a very complex surgery to remove the tumor, radiotherapy sessions and chemotherapy cycles.
It was not easy, but with the dedication of professionals, with all the technology and physical structure of the hospital and especially with the constant help of donors, many children and adolescents, like Eduarda, had access to all the chances of cure in Brazil.
"Today when I walk through the hospital corridors and meet the nurses, doctors and all the other people who were so important for the treatment of my daughter, I feel very grateful for all that the GRAACC Hospital has done", thanks Jessica.
