We are proud to share a major milestone in the development of the Shealy Wildlife Clinic at Cheetah Experience. After extensive work and construction, the clinic building is now complete, with all internal walls and dedicated rooms in place, creating a professional and purpose-built facility for the veterinary care of wildlife.
The clinic has been designed to provide a safe, controlled environment where animals can receive medical treatment, monitoring, diagnostics and surgical care when required. The completed facility now includes an overnight care room, a quarantine and monitoring room for individual animals, a dedicated surgical theatre, an X-ray room, an office, a laboratory, and a pharmacy.
This is an important step forward for our organisation. We now have the infrastructure needed to support a much higher standard of veterinary care on site, reducing the need to transport animals elsewhere for procedures and allowing animals to be monitored and treated in an environment specifically designed for wildlife.
The Next Step: Equipping the Clinic
While the clinic building is now ready, the facility cannot reach its full potential until it is properly equipped. Our next priority is therefore to raise the funds needed to purchase the essential veterinary equipment required to make the clinic fully functional.
We are currently budgeting and fundraising for several key pieces of equipment, including:
Each of these items will play an important role in allowing the Shealy Wildlife Clinic to function as a complete veterinary facility rather than simply a clinical space.
Help Us Complete the Clinic
The completion of the building is an achievement we are incredibly proud of, but the equipment is what will bring the clinic to life.
We are now raising funds specifically towards the purchase of this essential veterinary equipment. Every contribution will help us move closer to having a fully equipped wildlife clinic capable of providing high-quality medical care to the animals in our care.
Below, we have included a dedicated BackaBuddy fundraising link for supporters who would like to contribute specifically towards equipping the Shealy Wildlife Clinic.
