Kyiv faces -19C lows and blackouts affecting 70% of the city. PAH is strengthening 25 Heating Support Points and powering high-rise buildings to prevent hypothermia. We provide power generators, fuel, gas stoves, and thermal blankets to ensure heat, light, and hot meals for vulnerable families and the elderly. Your support delivers critical energy and warmth to thousands of residents during the harshest winter conditions in years. Help us keep Kyiv running through the freeze.
Kyiv faces a humanitarian crisis due to intensified strikes on energy infrastructure, leaving 70% of the city in blackouts. Temperatures have plummeted to -19C, creating severe hypothermia risks. Vulnerable residents, including the elderly and those in high-rise buildings, are trapped without heat, water, or working elevators. Existing Heating Support Points need more supplies to meet the massive demand for warmth and food during these prolonged outages.
PAH will strengthen 25 Heating Support Points with generators, fuel, gas stoves, and thermal blankets to provide communal warmth and hot meals. We are also delivering high-capacity generators to restore water pumps and elevators in the hardest-hit apartment blocks. This coordinated effort provides reliable backup power and life-saving equipment, helping thousands of residents survive the peak winter period safely.
This project builds lasting safety for residents by ensuring access to water and power in thousands of homes even after the current crisis ends. Equipping neighborhoods and high-rise blocks with generators creates a stable support network that helps seniors and families survive future outages. Through safety training and carbon monoxide detectors, local communities gain the knowledge to manage energy safely, protecting over 8,500 lives for years to come.
