Dear future donors,
Every year, thousands of mothers in Nigeria face life-threatening bleeding during childbirth. Many die because hospitals have no stored blood available when emergencies strike. Families are left to rush around in panic, trying to find blood donors while their loved ones slip away.
The Blood Banks for Mothers in Emergency Situation project aims to establish blood storage facilities in hospitals where maternal deaths are highest. With proper storage and supply, hospitals will be able to save mothers’ lives during critical moments when every second counts.
Donations have been received for this project, but the amount is not yet enough to begin the work. We appeal to donors who wish to help mothers survive childbirth to consider adding their support so that this project can take off without delay.
With gratitude,
Ugbede-Ojo Dominic Kadiri
