So far, 57 kids registered for the 2026 school at Quinto Congresso Preschool. Some of the littlest ones walk to school all by themselves! Others get delivered on motorbikes and three wheeled "tuk tuks," Others walk in with sibblings.
Teachers Zelia and Ernesto greet the children and bring them into the classroom to start their first "learn through play" lessons. New students are joining every week and soon enrollment will be full - we are expecting 70 in all this year.
Donations from Bahia Mar guests and others make it possible to keep the school running, including serving porridge everyday, and ensuring that all neighbohood children can attend regardless of their parents' income.
