The READ to RISE team visited 29 primary schools in Mitchells Plain in Term 1 and conducted 181 Class Programmes for 6,132 Grade 2 and 3 learners.
6,132 new story books were given out! The children were so happy to get their books. Many children in our community have never owned a book before.
We thank our donors for making this possible! Thank you!
We believe that book ownership can ignite a love for reading. It all starts with reading.
It is school holidays now and Term 2 will commence on 8 April 2026. Out team is excited and can't wait to visit more schools to get children excited about reading!
