GAIA Vaccine Foundation’s mission is to promote the prevention of infectious diseases in Mali. We also work to provide access to education on prevnetion and HIV testing opportunities.
GAIA Vaccine Foundation provides free HIV testing and connects individuals to these services through our ongoing programs, such as our Teen Peer Education Program. Throughout the year 2022, our Teen Peer Education Program saw a total attendance of 1,060 boys and girls. Through this program, 1,060 children between the ages of 14-18 had access to safe weekly discussions about preventative measures, as well as HIV testing opportunities.
Providing access to HIV testing has been a staple aspect of GAIA Vaccine Foundation. Within our Sikoro Free Testing Program, GAIA Vaccine Foundation has been able to provide HIV testing to 211 men and women in Mali.
Providing HIV testing for men and women in Mali is a vital component of GAIA Vaccine Foundation’s mission. It is through increased testing opportunities as well as access to education that the spread of infectious disease such as HIV will diminish in developing countries such as Mali.
