Children from Boyacá are part of families where their parents earn a living in the coal mines, enduring long and dangerous days of work and receiving very little income.
We want these children to have another vision of nature, of the need to care, to conserve resources that make our life on earth possible. These months we have intensified ecological education through a story called "Ubaldino and the wonderful coffee pot." Through this story we emphasize recycling and correct management of garbage and waste. The children were so motivated by this story that they created a play that was recorded on video to be used in other training processes with other groups of children in other regions of the country.
