The crisis
As of January 9, 2026, Aleppo has entered a new and volatile phase of conflict. Following the collapse of a ceasefire between government forces and Kurdish-led groups, a major military operation launched on January 7 has displaced over 140,000 people in just 48 hours. Pro Terra Sancta remains on the ground, operating our community kitchen and opening our centers to provide immediate refuge to families fleeing the shelling.
Our Immediate Response
Safe Shelters: The Terra Sancta College and the Franciscan Care Center have opened their doors to over 60 people, including children and youth left alone.
How You Can Help
"The absolute priority must be the safety of the people," insists Jean-François Thiry from the heart of the crisis.
As urban combat intensifies, the struggle for food, water, and shelter has become a race against time. Your donation is a lifeline. It translates immediately into a hot meal for a hungry child, a warm bed for a displaced family, and a safe sanctuary for those who have lost everything under the shelling.
