14th year of our project

Dear Donor,

Our project, which started in 2012 with the contributions of Nike employees all over the world, is now in its 14th year. It continues to be supported by many corporate matching programs and individual donors who believe in girls’ education and gender equality.

Over the past 14 years, many girls have had the privilege of continuing their education—about 30% of them through university—thanks to your generous support. We have far surpassed our initial goal of supporting 250 girls. However, the need never decreases. Every year, more girls aspire to break the cycle of poverty, become professionals, support their families, and act as role models for younger girls in their communities.

Global and local crises have required even greater efforts. During the COVID-19 pandemic, we supported distance learning by providing computers and internet packages to our scholarship students. The 2023 earthquake disaster in Southeastern Anatolia further increased poverty in the region, and many more girls needed assistance to continue their education, sometimes changing schools or even cities in order to continue their studies.

Dear donor, our mission to break the cycle of poverty through girls’ education continues, and we will always rely on your ongoing support. In our next report, we will share short notes from our scholarship students expressing their gratitude and determination.

Thank you for being our companion on this meaningful journey
