SUPERHEROES

As we told you, this year PINTANDO CAMINOS is devoting much of its efforts to support children and young people in their process of developing self-esteem and improve their self-value.

Convinced  that children and young people with strong self-esteem and a good concept of its self-value make decisions in their lives that lead them towards their full realization as human beings.

We regret seeing poverty become real in our girls lives because of early pregnancies, last year two young girls of 13 and 15 years old became pregnant despite all the efforts that the team of pintando caminos made in this subject.

Because of this situation we started a program with the Rotary club of Bogota, which we call Superheroes, this program has been structured using tools such as coaching, experiential education and leadership training, we are facing the problem not from prevention, but, from self-value, if love myself I respect me and respect my body, if I love myself I recognize my value and others value so I make smart decisions, if I love myself I take care of myself and others so I think before acting.

This project has been going for one year with two groups of 20 children each, the idea is to replicate it for all children over 10 years old and make it a replicable experience for other foundations and communities.

As always thank you for supporting us and believe in what we do
