Dear our esteemed supporters,
In line with the recommendation in this project's Evaluation Report, we would like to inform you that this project will be terminated and replaced with a new literacy-focused intervention targeting pupils in lower primary schools in Mandera County.
In April 2017, GENCAD carried out an internal evaluation of the Bridge Educational Gap for Orphaned and Vulnerable girls’ Pilot project based in Elwak Town, Mandera County, Kenya. The project's aim is to improve the standards of education in primary schools in Mandera County. Initially, the target beneficiary of this project was 100 orphaned and vulnerable girls at Elwak Girls Primary School. Due to high demand from other schools in the town and request from local leaders and education officials, a decision was reached to select additional beneficiaries from Al Uweis Primary School which is located also in Elwak Town.
For a more detailed analysis of the project's impacts please refer to the evaluation report attached.
We sincerely thank you for your support over the past four years and as soon as the planning for the new project is complete, we shall update you accordingly.
Thank you and May God bless you.
