Reut Sadaaqa Interfaith Encounter Group went back to meeting online because of concerns regarding the new corona wave.
The topic was: Music and Song in your tradition or any tradition.
Hanna, a veteran member of the group and gifted singer, presented to us about different uses of music in Judaism and sang us some examples.
Judith showed how music helped her overcome grief, and played too.
Sari-Johanna shared about the use of organ in the Christian tradition.
The group discussed music as a universal language, the use of meditative chant, the use of religious songs in popular culture and its counterpart, the use of pop music in religious service. It was a very enriching encounter.
