Syria Eid Joy Project Final Report

By Fatma Nur Ervan | Project Leader

Thanks to the generous support of our donors, we successfully implemented the Eid Clothing Packages for Children in Syria project, bringing moments of joy and dignity to children living in war-torn regions. After more than a decade of conflict, millions of children in Syria continue to grow up amidst displacement, poverty, and loss, often spending Eid without joy, celebration, or even proper clothing. Through this project, we were able to change that reality for many families by providing new and festive outfits in time for the holiday. Our local partners and volunteers identified the most vulnerable children—those who had lost parents, homes, or were living in displacement camps—and ensured that each child received clothing packages despite ongoing logistical and security challenges. For the children, these packages meant more than new clothes; they symbolized inclusion, value, and the chance to celebrate Eid with dignity. Smiles on their faces reflected hope and resilience, reminding us all that even small gestures can have a profound emotional impact. Parents and caregivers expressed gratitude, sharing that the joy of their children offered them strength in the midst of hardship. While festive clothing cannot erase the difficulties of war, it helps restore a sense of normalcy, childhood, and emotional security. The moments of happiness created through this initiative will contribute to the long-term psychological resilience of children who continue to face instability. We are deeply grateful to every donor who made this possible. Your generosity brought light into the lives of Syrian children during Eid and showed them that they are not forgotten. With your continued support, we aim to sustain and expand such efforts so that more children can grow up with hope, dignity, and the joy they deserve.
