Lebanon is facing a catastrophic humanitarian and healthcare crisis, severely worsened by recent bombings and war. Millions cannot afford essential medicines, and over a million people have been displaced from the South. Pro Terra Sancta's medical dispensaries in Tripoli and Beirut offer a vital lifeline-providing critical medications, emergency check-ups, doctor consultations, and medical supplies free of charge to both local vulnerable families and newly arrived refugees.
Lebanon's severe economic collapse has been drastically compounded by violent conflict, resulting in thousands of casualties and widespread destruction of homes and hospitals. Over 80% of the population lives in poverty, and the massive influx of internal refugees has pushed the healthcare system to total collapse. Access to medicine is a desperate daily struggle, with life-saving drugs completely unavailable or unaffordable.
Pro Terra Sancta operates strategic medical dispensaries in Tripoli and Beirut, directly responding to the emergency by distributing vital medical aid and healthcare services. Working closely with local networks, our dispensaries provide: free or subsidized life-saving and rare medications; regular check-ups for chronic patients and refugees; specialized medical consultations; and essential health supplies. In Beirut alone, we provide weekly medical assistance to 700 displaced individuals.
Beyond meeting the immediate, urgent medical needs caused by the war, these dispensaries offer a stable, continuous point of reference for entire devastated communities. Over time, they ensure long-term access to essential healthcare, pediatric care, and chronic disease management, building resilience in local communities and promoting health equity. This permanent presence empowers displaced individuals and vulnerable families to heal and regain control over their shattered lives.
