2013 was a tough year for HODI as an organisation and we only managed to pull through the tough situation. The new year has come with new blessings and opportunities for HODI and all those who benefit from the activities and programs of HODI. The same year saw us losing one of our promising young girls as she dropped out of school due to teenage pregnancy and getting the acceptance from the family and how to handle the entire situation seemed tough.
One year down the line the child-mother has every reason to smile as she revives her dreams of returning to school which seemed lost and never to be regained. Your donation has helped her be trained in SHAMBA HODI the kitchen gardens and provided with a kit to start a small garden with 10 sacks. Here she will be planting Sukuma Wiki a common vegetable that she will feed her family with and sell the surplus to earn an income which will go towards her education.
As a pastoralist girl child second chances are hard to come by but through your donation you have lit the light of hope for a CHILD Mother. Tell us what you think and share her stories with your friends and family. Together let us RESTORE HOPE!!
