Since the last report, Elite Star Foundation has continued community engagement and preparations for the safe water project in Rafi Local Government Area, Niger State. Although construction has not yet commenced, our team has maintained discussions with community stakeholders and continued mobilizing support toward the first $3,500 funding milestone.
Through these activities, more than 100 community members have been directly engaged through awareness and stakeholder discussions, helping us better understand the water challenges facing families in the target communities.
One community member, a mother of three, shared how her family currently depends on distant and unsafe water sources for their daily needs. She explained that fetching water takes significant time and often leaves her children waiting or helping with the long journey. For families like hers, a nearby borehole would mean safer drinking water, less time spent searching for water, and more opportunities for children to attend school.
The project remains focused on raising $3,500 to begin construction of the first borehole. Every donation brings us closer to providing reliable access to clean water and improving the health, safety, and daily lives of rural families.
