We are pleased to share continued progress on the Tumaini Games and Sports Field, which is steadily evolving into a vibrant and functional space for both recreation and learning.
Since the last update, the field grass has been successfully planted and is growing well, showing healthy establishment across most areas. To further improve the quality and usability of the field, additional topsoil has been imported and spread, particularly along the edge sections, to level uneven areas and enhance surface uniformity.
The field is now actively being used by students, with regular soccer activities already taking place. This marks an important milestone, as the space is now serving its intended purpose of promoting physical activity, teamwork, and recreation among the learners.
During this April school break, further improvements are underway. These include planting additional grass to reinforce coverage, continuing to fill and level the edges with imported topsoil, and planting more trees along the boundaries. These efforts aim to enhance both the environmental sustainability and long-term usability of the field, providing shade and improving the overall landscape.
In addition, the outside gym fabrication project has begun. This initiative is being implemented as part of the welding class engineering education program, where students are applying their practical skills to solve real community needs. Through this project, learners are gaining hands-on experience while contributing to the development of functional infrastructure that will benefit the wider Tumaini community.
We remain grateful for the continued support that is making this transformation possible. The field is not only becoming a space for sports, but also a living classroom and a symbol of practical, impact-driven education at Tumaini.
