Our organization has successfully operated two free IT Learning Centres in Kalutara and Angunukolapelessa for the past five years, providing digital education to over 500 rural children. We are now building our third Global Language Centre in Lunugamvehera on donated land. The new centre will offer free IT and English language education to 200 disadvantaged children every year, helping them gain essential digital and communication skills for a brighter future.
Many children in rural Sri Lanka lack access to quality IT and English education due to limited facilities, a shortage of qualified teachers, and financial hardship. Without digital and language skills, they face fewer opportunities for higher education and employment. Although we have educated over 500 children through our two existing centres, many more students in Lunugamvehera still have no access to these essential learning opportunitie
This project will establish a new Global Language Centre in Lunugamvehera, providing free IT and English education to children from low-income families. The centre will be equipped with computers, internet access, and modern learning resources. Building on five years of experience operating two successful IT centres, we will train at least 200 students each year, helping them develop digital and communication skills for education, employment, and a brighter future.
The Global Language Centre will create lasting educational opportunities for rural children by providing free IT and English education year after year. At least 200 students will benefit annually, improving their digital literacy, communication skills, and career prospects. Over time, the centre will help reduce educational inequality, increase employment opportunities, and empower future generations to break the cycle of poverty in their communities.
