Hay Cover at Work

Hay Cover at Work
Hay Cover at Work

Thanks to you, our new hay cover is well on the road to completion, and already shows what a great addition to RTF it will be. The roof is on, and we are already able to store hay on raised pallets under its protective cover.

Right now, we need to raise more funds toward our goal so that we can get the materials and labor to install additional support beams to hold the windbreaks which will protect the precious hay from both wind and rain blowing in. We need lumber for the protective panels, and materials to create the foundation for the cover to protect the hay from inclement wet weather. All of which we will be able to obtain as we raise the remaining $8,082 of our project goal.

It’s exciting to see the hay cover turning from a desperate need, to a dream, to a plan, to a reality!

This project will be a far-reaching benefit to all the RTF equine residents, the hard-working ranch hands who feed them, and to RTF’s reduced expenses through our ability to stock up on hay when prices and hay quality are favorable.

We are very appreciative of the support you have shown, and continue to provide. Please enjoy these photos showing where we are now, and we’ll be excited to add to them as the work progresses.
