Jambo,
On behalf of the students, staff, and the entire Ikirwa community, I am writing to share our deepest gratitude for your incredible generosity. Because of your commitment and donations, our dream of a dedicated dining hall has become a vibrant reality.
We are thrilled to report that we now have a beautiful, sturdy structure complete with windows and tables where our students can gather. To see the children sitting together at mealtime, protected from the elements and enjoying their food in a dignified space, is a testament to what your support has made possible. We simply would not have reached this milestone without you.
The impact of this building has already exceeded our expectations. While it serves its primary purpose during lunch, the dining hall has quickly become the heart of the school. Our teachers have begun utilizing the space for lessons, finding that the open environment and sturdy tables provide an excellent alternative setting for group work and creative projects. Most importantly, the children truly cherish the area; it has become a place of laughter, connection, and pride for them.
While we celebrate this massive achievement, our work on this building is not yet finished. The ground floor is designed to house much-needed classrooms and administrative offices, which remain in a "shell" state. To make these rooms functional for the upcoming terms, we still need to complete Interior and Exterior Plastering to protect the structure and provide a professional learning environment. In addition, electrical wiring is still needed to bring light and power to our new classrooms and offices.
Your continued support would be wonderful as we push through this final phase of construction. Every contribution brings us one step closer to turning these empty rooms into centers of discovery and leadership for our students.
Thank you for believing in the mission of Ikirwa School and for investing in the future of these bright young minds. We are honored to have you as part of our journey.
All the best.
Rose Hogan
