A couple of weeks ago, our WK medical team held a two-day clinic in Socorro. While we were meeting with patients in our current building, one without adequate space, light, or ventilation, we couldn't help but feel excited: Soon we will meet our funding goals, and we will be able to build a new clinic!
As of today, through Global Giving and other WK fundraisers, we have raised $7,200. We are one-third of the way to our goal. Thank you you so much.
We can't start building our new clinic until we have raised sufficient funds; however, this month we have been taking advantage of opportunities to meet with workers who will install water and electricity. We are excited to break ground and get this building underway. And we need your help to meet our goal.

Our community leaders on the Bocacosta are looking forward to using this property for:
* their primary medical clinic
* a medicinal plant garden
* ongoing construction of Biosand water filters
* women's health classes
* other community education programs
