One-Forty is a non-profit startup committed to SEA migrant worker issue. Our mission is “Make every migrant journey worth and inspiring”. We also believe every person deserves to dream, and every story deserves listeners. To accomplish our mission, we are devoted to empower them with required skills and trainings, so they can regain self-awareness and self-confident with clear visions and better lives. In the process, we also aspire to improve structural economic issues.

Book & Host
To help overcome language barriers and cultural differences, One-Forty introduced the Book & Host Project for Migrants. The project includes a physical learning package catering to migrant workers, as well as a comprehensive online learning platform with instructors and more than 300 videos and livestreams. Migrant workers from across Taiwan can enroll in the project with no application fees. We hope to help them quickly get accustomed to their new jobs and new lives in Taiwan, and we also wish to contribute to quality interactions between them and Taiwanese people.

Our Impact
Embarking on a year of education, 63,000 migrant workers have joined us in learning online, and over 2,000 have received physical learning kits since 2019. Most migrant workers that had completed the project reported improved self-confidence as well as quality of both work and life. 92.5% also cited bettered interactions with their Taiwanese host families.

Over 2,000 migrant workers received learning kits.
