Mountains of hope: What Mountains? Big lumps of rocks that are getting in the way of kids. We want to create a new people who climb up and over the stuff, that’s why we designed this sustainable project which needs your help.
We feel that orphans need to be helped to develop skills that will be useful throughout their lives while in the safe home. Our organization is dedicated to the process of making that happen but we need your help.
“You are responsible for the things you help put in the world, if you don’t think something should exist in the world, do not participate in it”- Mike Monteiro
Our community is clearly excited and eager to see this project succeed. You can be a part of that excitement.
We have worked with the community that provides local labour, children pray for the project, yet the government provides technical advice, it’s wonderful.
So far our construction has reached window level, this level will be completed in one days time, the building will be given five days to stabilize so that ring beams be tied on, We need $538 to fix the ring beams on, currently we haven’t got any new donations which means that we may have to wait till we get this amount, the community and children are not going to be able to cough a big pile of cash to do the project, because if they had cash they probably wouldn’t need Mountains of hope in the first place, so we are on the lookout for a donor with a big heart, a social conscience and a love of the outdoors to make it cool for the kids
