Build an HIV & TB-Resistant Treatment Centre

Dear Donors,

Thank you for the interest shown in the Build an HIV and TB Resistant Treatment Centre project. At this time, the project has not yet received financial contributions, so the construction of the planned treatment centre has not started.

Across several parts of Nigeria, patients diagnosed with HIV and drug resistant tuberculosis face serious difficulties accessing specialized medical care. Many health facilities lack the equipment and trained personnel needed to properly diagnose and manage resistant infections. As a result, patients may travel long distances seeking treatment or remain without proper care.

Drug resistant infections require close medical monitoring and consistent treatment. Without specialized centres that provide proper diagnosis and follow up, patients may experience worsening health conditions. In some cases, untreated or poorly managed infections can also increase the risk of transmission within families and communities.

This project plans to build and equip a treatment centre designed to serve patients facing these complex health conditions. The centre will provide testing, monitoring, and treatment services in one location so patients can receive continuous care. Medical equipment, diagnostic tools, and essential supplies will help support proper treatment and patient management.

A dedicated facility will help improve access to care for people who currently struggle to find specialized services. It will also strengthen local healthcare capacity and support health workers in managing difficult cases.

We appreciate the attention already given to this initiative and remain hopeful that support will grow so this treatment centre can become a reality. With the help of caring donors, patients living with resistant HIV and TB can receive the care and monitoring they urgently need.
