Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has been organizing several program for women empowerment at times. In order to make young women & girls self-reliant, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan has organized many vocational education training through which women are getting jobs. The organization provides skill training to women in different trades among which beauty parlour, garment making, bag making, handicrafts making are major.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation has provided sustainable livelihood to women through skill development training. The organization also conducts feedback and follow-up activities which gets us information of work of these women along with the success rate of the women beneficiaries. Two of such success stories are being mentioned in the report below.
Girls Raising; A Story of Hope !!
Gayatri is 23 year old girl resides at village Chainpura. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, organized a bag making training in Chainpura for which Gayatri applied and took the training. Gayatri used to remain idle as her parents had to withdrew her from study in the lack of funds and resources. Here, in the training, Gayatri carved her talent and learned to make many sorts of bags in the bag making training. Even she started making bags for her aquaintances and family members during the training and she got perfection in bag making till the completion of the training. Afterwards, she continued making bags at home and sold the bags in market held weekly in the village which got her good income. Now, Gayatri has become self-reliant as she has got a sustainable source of livelihood. Today, Gayatri has become an inspiration for other women.
Women's Raising; A Story of Hope !!
My name is Anita and I'm 36 years old. I always had interest in the study, but my dream to be educated got shattered when I was married at childhood. I was confined in the home after being married and my all dreams got shattered. Even there was a time in my life when I started thinking that life had come to the end after the death of my husband when I was all alone. Also I had the responsibilites of one child. I faced economic crisis. When one of my friends informed me about garment making training held by Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan I immediately applied for the training. I learned to mearues, cut and sewing many sorts of costumes. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan gave me a sewing machine which enabled me to start self-employment. After a short while, I started to take orders of stitiching which got me a sustainable income for which I want to thank Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and GlobalGiving Foundation.
