Build Bright future for 750 marginalized Girls

In rural regions, women still depend on animal husbandry and agriculture for employment. But, these are the sources of earnings through which one can't get livelihood regularly due to which rural women face financial problems. In rural areas there are limited resources of earnings due to which women don't get employment.

Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan organized skill development training to make opportunities available for women of Magra community in Masuda to be employed. As women of Magra community in Masuda are unable to move out for employment and the economic conditions of their families are worst, so RSKS with the financial support of GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors organized garment making training at 5 distinct villages in Masuda. During the one-month training 150 poor Magra women participated in the training. RSKS provided training in theory as well as practical to make it easy for the trainees to learn the skills.

During the training, women trainees were taught to measure, cut and sew various costumes and they got perfection till the completion of the training. Afterwards, the trainees started sewing clothes for their family members at their homes that helped them to practise what they taught in the training. There were some trainees who operated sewing machine first time in their life or even they dind't know to operate sewing machine. But, now these women have become self-reliant and do sewing at their own places to earn. The village sarpanch appreciated the initiative of RSKS and blessed the organization.

My name is Rasida and I'm 30 years old. After 3 years of my marriage, the sudden death of my husband left me alone in the family and the society. I had the burden of the responsibilites of my children and the family to upbring them. I did animal husbandry for sometime to meet family's requirements but it had never got me enough earnings. When I came to know about garment making training of RSKS, I immediately applied to be a trainee and after being selected I took one-month training. After completing the training, I was given a sewing machine absolutely free by RSKS with the financial aid of GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors so that I could start an employment unit. Then, I started stitching clothes at my place that gets me good earning. Now, I've become self-reliant and I'm able to nurture my family and children. I an thankful to RSKS and the donors for their support to make me self-reliant.

The support and contribution of GlobalGiving Foundation in the project “Build Bright future for 250 marginalized Girls” is commendable! And the contribution of Donors deserves praise together. women empowerment with better livelihood programe successfully with the help of the donors!!
