"If a man is considered 'Deepak' of a family, then a woman brings light to two families", hence, it is must for women to be empowered. Women will be empowered when they become financially self-dependent. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan is consistently working in the direction of women & girls empwerment with this approach and through our self-employment oriented skill development trainings we make women financially strengthen.
In the series, RSKS, in the collobaration with GlobalGiving Foundation and the donors, organized beauty parlour and handicraft skill development training in slums of the city. In the training, 15 poor and deprived young girls and women from the slums are taking beauty parlour training. During 3-months training, the trainees are being taught the art of women beautification as eye brow, facial, wax, mehndi, nail art, hair cut, etc. The mode of training is theory as well as practical that made it easy for the trainees to learn the skills. Similarly, a 3-months handicrafts skill training is also being organized by RSKS in the urban slum where 15 poor and deprived girls and women are taking the training free.
The trainees are learking skills enthusiastically in the training. In handicrafts skill development training, the trainees are learning to make handicrafts articles and decorative items of art & crafts as doorbell, festoon, chandelier, glass painting, photo-frame, key chain, key-holder, and many other decoarative items. We also organize EDP, life skill trainings, capacity building trainings at times to build the capacity of the trainees and to bring some sort of positive changes in the life style. During the training, the Team RSKS came to know about the feedback of the trainees that is mentioned below.
Neetu (Name changed) is a 22 years old deprived girl resides in the urban slum. She had lost her father in childhood after which she feels alone and her brother and mother works to run the family. The limited earnings of the family shattered Neetu's dreams among which beauty parlour training is one.
Neetu tried many times to learn the skills but high fee of the training centers made her to take step back. When Neetu came to know about free beauty parlour training of RSKS, she got so happy and applied for the training. Now, she works hard and learns the skills with dedication. Neetu thanks GlobalGiving Foundation and RSKS from the bottom of the heart to make her dream true.
