Build Bright future for 750 marginalized Girls

It is often observed that young women and girls living in rural & urban slums areas have to face many problems as they have to always be reliant on others for their basic needs. They are not being able to have equal rights in their own family because of the conservative thinking. This must be resolved and it could be resolved by empowering these women and girls so that they could become self reliant. In this context, RSKS India enrolled 50 women and girls in its different non-farming vocational training like advanced garments making, beauty culture etc. which are run through the valuable support of donors. In these vocational schools, these girls were taught garment making skills as well as beautician skills for three months.

In this context, RSKS India team members organized the graduation ceremony of these young women and girls trainees of the vocational schools organized by RSKS India. The team provided  50 trade skill certificates to the young women and girls who were able to finish their three months rigorous skill training in which they were taught 1.5 hours theoretically as well as 3.5 hours practically daily. These women and girls were doing cultural activities like dancing, singing etc at the graduation ceremony. Refreshments were also organized by the RSKS team members for them at the graduation ceremony. The online groups were created of these women and girls so that they could stay in touch with the RSKS team and monthly meeting would be taken of these girls so that their problems or achievement stories could be heard.

Most of these women and girls have started their own business and are earning from their home. These skills have made them become self reliant and now these women and girls are supporting their family financially. These women and girls are now able to speak on their thoughts at the family and are also involved in the family decision making. These women and girls are now inspiration to the whole village as now they are earning from home by doing their self employment in the means of beautician or garments making. Many of these young women and girls have got job at the city due to the skill certificates being provided to them by RSKS India and the skills they learned during the course of the vocational school. The family members as well as these young women and girls thanked whole RSKS team and donors for making them self reliant, confident and empowered.
