Dear Patron !
Many young women and girls from rural and marginalized communities struggle to find employment opportunities due to a lack of skills and education. This leads to a cycle of poverty and dependency. The lack of vocational training centers and schools in these areas makes it difficult for these young women and girls to acquire the necessary skills to find employment. Also these women and girls have ardent desire to become self reliant and also to support their family financially so that they could also have some status in their family.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan RSKS India recognized this problem and established an Advanced Garment Making Vocational Education School in a rural village. The school provided training in garment making to young women and girls for three months, for five hours daily. The training was a mix of theoretical and practical sessions, with 1.30 hours dedicated to theory and 3.30 hours for practical training. The school offered a comprehensive curriculum that covers garment making techniques, textile materials, pattern making, stitching, finishing, and quality control. The training was designed to provide the trainees with the necessary skills to work in the garment industry and become self-reliant.
The impact of this vocational education school has been tremendous. The young women and girls who have completed the training program have gained valuable skills that have helped them secure employment in the garment industry. Many have started their own small businesses and are contributing to their families' income. The training has also helped to empower these young women and girls. They have gained confidence and self-esteem, and are now able to make their own decisions and be independent. This has had a ripple effect on their families and communities, as they are now seen as role models and leaders. The establishment of this vocational education school has not only provided a solution to the problem of unemployment but has also contributed to the socio-economic development of the region. It has helped to break the cycle of poverty and dependency and has provided a pathway to a better future for many young women and girls. All the young women and girls thank RSKS India and the valuable donors through which becoming self-reliant was possible.
