Technical Skills with Life Lessons...

By Team | RSKS India

Dear Respected Donor, Namaste!

Warm Greetings from RSKS India Family!!

RSKS India organized a comprehensive set of activities as part of the inauguration of the "Advanced Garments Making Vocational Education School," designed to equip trainees with not only technical skills but also essential life skills, entrepreneurial knowledge, and a strong sense of motivation. RSKS India incorporated various sessions aimed at fostering personal and professional growth among the trainees. As part of the program, the trainees participated in life skills sessions, where they learned important topics such as decision-making, problem-solving, communication, and time management. These life skills are critical for the trainees to navigate the challenges they may face both during and after their training period. The sessions helped build confidence and instilled a sense of responsibility, preparing the women to handle real-world situations.

Additionally, an Entrepreneurship Development Program (EDP) was conducted to provide the trainees with insights into starting their own small businesses. The EDP covered essential aspects of entrepreneurship, such as understanding market needs, identifying opportunities, creating business plans, managing finances, and the importance of customer satisfaction. This knowledge empowers the trainees to not only seek employment but also to consider launching their own ventures in the garment-making industry. To further support the trainees, a marketing session was organized to provide practical knowledge about promoting and selling their products. This session focused on branding, pricing, understanding customer preferences, and using local market opportunities. The trainees were guided on how to network with retailers, suppliers, and customers, helping them build sustainable businesses once they complete the training.

To encourage team spirit and physical well-being, sports activities were also arranged, where trainees engaged in recreational games. These activities served to boost morale, create a sense of community, and promote mental and physical health. The combination of life skills training, entrepreneurship development, and marketing sessions had a significant impact on the 15 trainees enrolled in the program. These additional components ensured that the trainees would leave the "Advanced Garments Making Vocational Education School" not only with technical expertise but also with the confidence and knowledge required to navigate the competitive market and handle personal and professional challenges. Overall, the sessions organized during the "Advanced Garments Making Vocational Education School" inauguration have equipped these women with the tools they need to succeed in their professional journeys, contributing not just to their personal growth but also to the economic empowerment of their communities.

We welcome your comments and suggestions on this report and are grateful for your support in making such impactful experiences possible.

Warm regards,
Team RSKS India
