Dear Friends
A warm Greeting from RSKS India
The rural people of block Peesangan of Ajmer district (a city in Rajasthan state surrounded by the Aravali Ranges) doesn't have a firm and sustainable means of earning due to the limited water resources in rural region and awful scarcity of rain water. Moreover, the government has listed the rural area in dark zone. Consequently, unemployments is all over there and rural women are able to earn less through stock raising.
Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, with the support of GlobalGiving Foundation, organised Rajasthani Handicraft Training Camp for 5 poor deprived girls in the village next to NH-8. This camp was organised for 2 months and 5 poor girls were trained in Rajasthani Handicrafts as doorbell, bandanwar, ceramic, paper messy art, elephant-camel of cloth, birds, wall hangings so that the girls should get a firm livelihood.
In the Handicraft Training Camp, master craftman trained the girls in skill development also provide tips for entrepreneurship and marketing. Certificates were distributed to the girls after completing the training. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan is trying for the bank loan required to the establishment of their business. It is expected that the organisation shall provide them the required loan by April through bank for their business establishment. Besides all of these, Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan is trying to link them with several government projects.
A trainee participated in the camp says, "I have learned to make door bell, paper messy art nicely. I have sold hand-made products worth Rs. 4,200 INR from my place. I am absolutely sure that my earnings will definitely increase because Rajasthani handicraft is being preferred by all. I am happy from what I have achieved to be self-employed and I thank to Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan and Global Giving for the same."
