Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan, keeping the objective of economic empowerment and perpetual sustainable livelihood for women and girls of marginalised community,with the financial support of Global Giving Foundation and "Commuity Development Grant". Lets meet with a beneficiary of the project (Hand Designer Bag making vocational Education training).
Kulwanti, 27 years old dalit woman is a mother of 2 children. She had lost her one leg in an accident at her childhood. She got shocked very badly from the accidental death of her husband one year ago. It has always been very difficult for a young widow to survive in the male dominated society. Her husband was the only source of earning of the family, and his death made the family to face financial crisis.
One day she came to know about Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan by one of her acquaintances and on her insistence she contacted the organisation for getting help. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan provided her a 4-months vocational training for desigher bag making under "Community Development Grant". Kulwanti also learnt the art of making designer bags regularly with dedication. During the training, the organisation also provided her training for life skills, E.D.P. (Entrepreneurship development program) and marketing.
At the completion of the training, a sewing machine was also given to Kulwanti with the help of Global Giving Foundation. Now, she is making Rs. 300 to Rs. 400 a day with this bag making employment. She is now able to giver her children a better education and lives a better life. She says, "The entire credit of my success goes to Global Giving Foundation and the donors. I can't even imaging such good days without their help and support". Now, Kulwanti is so happy the smile on her face tells how mcuh happy she is. Rajasthan Samgrah Kalyan Sansthan prays for her bright career.
