Build classrooms and latrines in Majak Goi village

The Mawoudit Foundation continues to make strides in improving education for children in Majak Goi village, South Sudan. Our project to build 8 classrooms and 16 pit latrine blocks at Deng Maker Primary School is advancing, bringing hope to students from underprivileged backgrounds.

Recent Progress:

1. Incentives for Volunteers and PTA
   We are proud to report that at least 10 active volunteers, along with members of the Parent Teacher Association (PTA), have received teaching materials and incentives. These were distributed in yellow envelopes, which were warmly received with gratitude. This recognition of their hard work and dedication is vital in ensuring continued support and engagement in the project.

Ongoing Initiatives:

• Teacher Training and Digital Library: We are gearing up to train 8 teachers, providing them with modern teaching tools and resources, including a digital library with tablets.
• Free Meals & Solar Torches: Plans are in place to distribute solar-powered torches to students and initiate a free meal program to ensure better learning outcomes.

Challenges and Next Steps:

• Logistics Issues: Flooding in the area has caused transportation delays, but we are working to resolve these issues to keep the project on track.

Conclusion: This project is transforming the educational landscape for hundreds of children in Majak Goi village. Thanks to the support of donors and the dedication of volunteers and the PTA, we are creating lasting change in the community. We are deeply grateful for the continued generosity that allows us to bring hope and opportunity to the children of South Sudan.
