We would like to express our sincere gratitude to our generous donors through GlobalGiving for your continued support of our work. Your kindness and commitment are making a meaningful difference in the lives of vulnerable children in South Sudan.
Over the past three months, we successfully reopened Deng Maker Primary School and enrolled 200 pupils. We expect enrollment to continue increasing as more families return to the community. Previously, the school served over 500 pupils, but enrollment dropped to fewer than 300 due to a shortage of classrooms, inadequate sanitation facilities, and the lack of basic learning resources.
The Mawoudit Foundation and the management of Deng Maker Primary School have identified the construction of two blocks of pit latrines as a top priority for the next six months. Improved sanitation facilities will help reduce waterborne diseases, promote better hygiene, and create a healthier learning environment for all pupils. We request for 11,000 USD to be able to construct two block of latrines for girls, boys and school staff.
With the continued support of GlobalGiving and our generous donors, we are confident that this important project can be achieved. Together, we are improving access to quality education and ensuring that children can learn in a safe, healthy, and dignified environment.
Thank you for standing with us and for investing in the future of South Sudan's children.
