Subject: A Mosque Completed in the Remote Mountains of Upper Chitral – Serving 70 Families
Aligned with SDG 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) & SDG 16 (Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions)
Alkhidmat Foundation is pleased to announce the successful construction of a beautiful mosque in the remote and mountainous village of Metari Dok, located in Upper Chitral. This village, nestled high among the rugged peaks, is home to 70 households who previously lacked a dedicated place for congregational prayers and religious learning.
The new mosque is more than just a place of worship—it serves as a community center, offering spiritual solace and social cohesion in an otherwise isolated region. This effort not only fosters religious harmony but also helps sustain the cultural and communal fabric of the area.
This milestone is aligned with UN SDG 11 by contributing to inclusive infrastructure in rural areas, and SDG 16 by promoting peaceful and inclusive communities.
We are deeply grateful to our donors and supporters, whose generosity brought this vision to life. With your continued support, we aim to bring development, dignity, and faith-based spaces to the most underserved corners of Pakistan.
Note: This was a joint project between AKFP & OUC.
