Introduction

Father’s house orphanage was founded in the year 2006 by Faith Building Association which is an association of people living with HIV/AIDS in Muyuka, Fako. By then we were just giving support and in 2010, father’s house gathered the homeless in a home especially for the underprivileged children from 0-12years.

By the first of November, 2017, Father’s House orphanage had 37 children, ten of them with visual impairment. Father’s house just transferred to its permanent site in mile 40 Banga so was struggling to get things in place. In the month of November, 2017, Father’s House was opportune to enter its own premises with enough rooms for the children, a well fenced compound and land for children to play. The 37 children also started school except two that are below school age. Those in the workshop also continue their trades.

Father’s house encountered some difficulties in the month of November some of which are as follows:

  • Transportation of children to school since we are a bit far from town.
  • No electricity, we were managing a generator that was so difficult and costly to fuel
  • Father’s house center doesn’t have good source of water
  • 3 children were sick, were consulted and treated.

Father’s house was visited by the Ministry of Social Affairs, Ministry of Basic Education, Sight Savers International, Reach Out Cameroon, Ministry of Health and CBCHS Mutengene in the month of November for one purpose or another.

Spiritually, father’s house had four Sunday services in its campus and a series of prayer meetings with men of God. Elderly children in the Father’s house pushed on with their small business activities despite the crises in the region.

For a better tomorrow Father’s house is soliciting for a water project [Note: When this report was written our water projects had not yet been funded, water is coming very soon!!] and electricity supply, means of transportation to school and school needs.

Thanks so much for your colaboration
