As we mentioined in our August report, Nursery students moved into their new building in June. The building is almost complete. The one project which remains is painting the building's exterior. This is an extremely important task because it helps increase the longevity of the building substantially. Otherwise, rain and even vandals can wear away the exterior cementing of the bricks. As part of the painting process, the painters will put another rough cast coat of cement on the bottom half of the building. This helps deflect water, and discourages vandals and older students from either marking on the building or trying to chip away at the initial layer of cement.
The painter painted the exteriors of all other school buildings in May, However, there was not enough money to do this very important painting on the current class block. We hope that the final funds can be raised as part of this GlobalGiving project so this building can receive its final paint coat also. Because it is a Nursery building, the painter will also paint numbers and some cute nursery pictures on the front side of the building. The buldings are painted in the school's colors of tan and brown.
Thanks for your continued support of this very important projec. It helps our very youngest students start school on solid footing instead of being left unattended in the fields while their parents farm during the day.
