Dear Friends,

Happy New Year 2017! I know it has not been so easy to get through 2016. There have been issues of death, sickness, disappointments. May the Lord always remember all our beloved ones who have left us.

God’s Love School (GLS) closed for third term successfully and everything was just excellent as most of our children were promoted to the next classes. There was lots of achievements.

1-Music and Dance competition where GLS was placed 4 out of 7 primary schools.

2-Friends  has generously helped with the drawing of GLS new classroom block

3-Welcomed our Special Friend from the UK from 10-15/12/2016. It was exciting to meet again after four years back when he last visited. He volunteered with cleaning of our GLS fans, fixed broken glasses, brought us some learning text books and suggested the way forward for the next classroom. He was impressed at the English speaking skills our students have gained as he took time playing with them.

4-MMM  may volunteer with the new building and this will greatly reduce the total cost of the building. God’s Love Home is about “unlocking” the potential of marginalized children by empowering them to become more self-reliant and creating opportunities to improve their socio-economic conditions. Four girls could sit for the vocational year one exams and results are due in March. We thank Global Giving (GG) UK for supporting this vocation project with 5000 Pounds. We have had some students completing primary seven and now warming up for vocation education and the more able one’s going to secondary schools. Thank you for your generous support with school fees at other schools. This is a new year with fresh challenges so, do pray for our needs please

a) Daily expenses to be urgently met as the GG support is nearly exhausted

b) GLS find a sponsor for its classroom block –pray that the Lord may touch people’s hearts to open for this project

c) Child Sponsorship Administrator (CSA) be found, trained and be very effective

d) Provision of school fees now but note it will no longer be necessary when the CSA is successfully working with us.

e) Pray for all our Funding Applications

May the Lord bless you heaps and heaps

PS-Our Annual Report for 2016 will soon be out.
