What did you do over the summer?
We went to the Spelling Bee summer camp!
The Spelling Bee summer camp was held from 9th till 15th of July. We made collages, sang songs, learned about volunteerism, made tie-dye shirts, went hiking, became more tolerant, ate s'mores, played capture the flag, and created so many unforgettable memories. It was a week full of eagerness to learn, forming friendships and positive energy.
The Spelling bee summer camp is the award for the 30 national finalists and their teachers. The camp provided an opportunity for all participants who improved their English language skills, expanded their knowledge about the United States, boosted their confidence and self-esteem and made lifelong friendships. In the words of one of the participants: “The camp was an experience I will never forget! We learned a so much during this week and the counselors showed us that everything is possible when everybody works with dedication and enthusiasm”.
The Spelling Bee summer camp was the last event of this year's calendar. Stay tuned for Spelling Bee 2018!
