The camel caravan project is making a more significant impact on children's lives than we initially realized when we started. Currently, we have 12 camel libraries spread across three main provinces of Pakistan. Just this month, we've introduced two more, named Amal and Sukoon. In total, these camel libraries are now regularly visiting 42 villages in Punjab, Balochistan, and Sindh.
Meet Maikan, an 11-year-old with an uncontainable excitement for the Estaal Camel Library. He's practically our library's unofficial greeter, sprinting to meet us as we approach his village. Maikan's heart belongs to animals, and he devours every book we offer about them.
Shafat, a 10-year-old dynamo, is an ardent member of the Chiragh Camel Library. He's drawn to books adorned with captivating pictures, and his passion extends to putting pen to paper and crafting his own stories.
Najma, an 11-year-old bookworm, welcomes the Chiragh Library with open arms. Her heart dances with joy when she finds fairy tale books in our collection. She's devoured numerous stories and eagerly anticipates more.
Sobia, a 12-year-old with a relentless curiosity for tales, is the epitome of dedication. Her busy life supporting her family doesn't stop her from immersing herself in books, often borrowing them to read under the evening stars.
Muhammad, the 10-year-old book champion, holds the Umeed Camel Library dear to his heart. He's a fervent reader and even encourages his fellow students to delve into the world of books as a group activity.
Sania, a diligent school-goer, is a devoted member of the Umeed Camel Library. Her love for books knows no bounds, and she explores our extensive collection with unwavering enthusiasm.
Mosa, the resilient 9-year-old, faces obstacles in accessing books but radiates joy whenever he gets a chance to read. He's a shining star of the Mashal Library.
Amber, the 10-year-old dreamer, doesn't let challenges dim her passion for books. Despite her hurdles, she's now navigating the pages of some books on her own, thanks to the Roshen Camel Library's regular visits.
Hania, the science enthusiast, makes time for books beyond her syllabus. She's over the moon that our librarian delivers books right to her doorstep.
All the work we do couldn’t have been possible without the kind support of our friends. Thank you so much for being there!
